Workplace Mediation
Dr. Dardashti is passionate about bringing psychology into the workplace, not just as an executive or leadership coach, but as a psychologist who has had intensive training in personality and behavioral components of mental health in addition to family systems and family therapy. She sees the workplace as a second family and understands the intricate dynamics that can take place both implicitly and explicitly with people at work – just as they do at home. Some examples of workplace settings she has consulted for are a hotel chain, two startups, a pharmacy chain, and a financial corporation. She specializes in providing solutions in order to increase awareness, productivity, motivation, and effective communication. Dr. D can manage healthy workplace flow and relationship integrity through:
- Focused meetings with key players to assess common areas of conflict and dissolution
- Conflict resolution through mediation and empathic skills training across the corporate matrix
- Facilitation of feedback for integration, which is critical to all aspects of productivity and satisfaction
- Solution-oriented on-call coaching for individuals and groups as needed using distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills
- Effective communication skill building
- Behavioral modification tools based on clear and direct feedback
- Changing faulty thoughts/perceptions through successful cognitive-behavioral-based coaching
- Performance coaching for role excellence
- Time management, organization, and structural skills training for maximum efficiency
- Proven mindfulness-based and other evidence-based techniques for managing stress and reducing reactive triggers
- Problem solving to overcome obstacles and adapt to changes
Companies that are proactive in addressing leadership issues, conflict, essential feedback, and employee relations are more likely to recognize significant gains in efficiency and productivity among their staff. Frequently, necessary feedback and communication is lacking in order to avoid discomfort or conflict, which leads to stagnation where there could otherwise be significant opportunities for growth – both for employees and companies at large. Dr. D has experienced this phenomenon repeatedly and prioritizes the effective implementation of feedback between team members, leadership, etc.
In medical settings, Dr. D has also consulted on feedback implementation and empathy building for physicians and staff, in order to help create and maintain patient satisfaction and retention. Communication between providers is essential, as is awareness and empathy with regards to patients’ overall experience before, during, and after visits.
Now more than ever it is integral to work on these aspects of functioning within the workplace. Without empathy there can be no real change. Dr. D is skilled at empathy cultivation between people, building stronger connections, and working together towards goals.
